Critical thinking is imperative to effective leadership. The secret of successful managers is their uncanny ability to crack problems at the onset and even prevent such from happening. But it is the criticality in confronting complex issues, one that involves multiple factors in the organization, that is the real test that differentiates champions from the rest. This requires both the advance skills in the art of Complex Problem Solving and the prudence and discipline of Contingency Management to mitigate the potential and collateral risks of decisions.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

In this workshop, the participants will be exposed to various case studies and analytical simulations to learn the rational approach to anticipate, contain, resolve and prevent recurrence of failure factors that lead to complex problems, as well as learn to develop protective and contingent counter-plans. This includes among many things:

  1. Learn to rationalize the force fields of complex issues that differentiate critical factors from routine concerns.
  2. Distinguish contributing, aggravating and mitigating factors that convolutes into complex issues and events.
  3. Learn to transform failures to corrective lessons and prevent problems from recurrence.
  4. Carry out team-oriented workshop to develop contingent plans and counter measures.
